Paris Saint-Germain‘s recent results are raising doubts at the heart of the French club and once again, rumors of Neymar‘s departure are gaining momentum.
His days at PSG could be numbered. A bad moment that has been exacerbated by the defeat against AS Monaco has turned the dressing room of the French team into a tinderbox of sorts.
So much so that according to L’Equipe, some members of the squad were involved in a fierce argument with Director of Football Luis Campos in the dressing room, in which he criticized some players for a lack of aggression.
This comes at the worst possible time of the season. The Parisians host Bayern Munich tomorrow in the first leg of the Champions League round of 16.
It looks like Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe will finally recover and be fit to play, which Christophe Galtier will be relieved about.
Neymar, a target
It seems that once again the desire of the club and its directors is to put Neymar in the shop window with the view to selling him in the summer.
It was already proposed last summer, but his very high salary and his automatic renewal until 2027 put paid to any possible departure.
It was even considered during the recently closed January transfer window, but PSG’s hierarchy ran into the same problems.
What is clear is that Neymar‘s numbers on the pitch are undeniable this year.
In 27 games this season, he has 17 goals and 16 assists, although his level after the World Cup is not the same as it was during the first three months of the season.
