Official | Olivier Giroud extends AC Milan contract

Olivier Giroud (36) has put pen to paper on a contract extension with AC Milan, the Serie A champions have announced. The length of his new deal has not been revealed by the club.

According to Sky Sports, Giroud has signed a one-year contract extension. Last January, he received an offer from Everton but he turned down the proposal, hoping to continue with the Rossoneri. The France national team’s all-time record goalscorer opened the scoring during Tuesday’s Champions League quarter-finals return leg between Napoli and Milan – a goal that proved crucial with the Stefano Pioli-led side winning the tie 2-1 on aggregate. Milan will play their first Champions League semi-finals since 2007 and will play against either Benfica or Inter.

AC Milan are proud to announce that Olivier Giroud has renewed his contract with the Club. Olivier, at AC Milan since the summer of 2021, has become an important linchpin in the Rossoneri forward line, making 76 appearances and scoring 27 goals“, the club has announced.

This season, Giroud has been crucial for club and country. For Milan, he has featured 38 times in all competitions, scoring 13 goals and registering six assists in that time, whilst for Les Bleus, he was a crucial part of France’s run to the final, notably netting the winner against England in Qatar.
